He married (1) Mary Haddan 13 October 1783 in probably Randolph County, (West) Virginia, daughter of David Haddan and unknown. Her burial place is unknown. She was born 15 May 1764 in probably Virginia, and died 17 April 1796 in probably near Buckhannon, Upshur County, (West) Virginia. He married (2) Elizabeth Weatherholt Brake 13 October 1799 in Harrison County, (West) Virginia2, daughter of John Brake and Elizabeth Weatherholt. She was born 11 January 1778 in Hampshire/now Hardy County, (West) Virginia, and died 19 August 1835 in Jackson’s Mill, Lewis County, (West) Virginia. Edward and Elizabeth are buried in the Jackson’s Mill Cemetery, Lewis County, West Virginia.

He married Catherine McClanahan before 1817 in probably Missouri. She was born between 1790-1800 in Virginia, and died 26 January 1837 in Lawrence, Jackson Township, Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.

3. David Edward3 Jackson (Edward2, John1) was born 30 October 1788 in Buckhannon, (West) Virginia, and died 24 December 1837 in Paris, Tennessee of Yellow Fever. He married Juliet T. Norris 02 November 1809 in Clarksburg, Harrison County, (West) Virginia, daughter of John Norris and Mary Jones. She was born 22 December 1783 in Fauquier County, (West) Virginia, and died 16 March 1865 in Lewis County, West Virginia. Burial: Norris Cemetery, Lewis County, West Virginia.

4. Jonathan3 Jackson (Edward2, John1) was born 25 September 1790 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia, and died 26 March 1826 in Clarksburg, Harrison County, (West) Virginia. He is buried in the Historic Jackson Cemetery, Clarksburg, West Virginia. He met (1) Polly Berkhammer before 1813. He met (2) unknown before 1816. He married (3) Judith “Julia” Beckwith Neale 28 September 1817 in Wood County, (West) Virginia Bk1:14, daughter of Thomas Neale and Margaret Winn. She was born 28 February 1798 in near Aldie, Loudoun County, Virginia, and died 03 December 1831 in Fayette County, (West) Virginia. Her recorded birth was 29 February, but that was not a leap year. After Jonathan’’s death she married Blake Baker Woodson. Burial: Westlake Cemetery, Anstead, Fayette County, West Virginia.

She married Isaac Brake 30 November 1820 in Harrison County, (West) Virginia, son of John Brake and Katherine Shook. He was born between 15-16 November 1797 in probably Hardy County, (West) Virginia, and died 17 January 1885 near Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia. Burial: Aft. 17 January 1885, Oakington Cemetery, Turkey Run, Upshur County, West Virginia.

He married (1) Elizabeth Catherine Hotsapiller 02 December 1858 in Upshur County, (West) Virginia; born 14 June 1838 in Rockingham County, Virginia; died 25 August 1907. Burial: Old Johnstown Cemetery, Harrison County, West Virginia. They were probably divorced after the death of their baby, though none was found. He married (2) Martha “Patsy” Shepard Price 08 March 1882 in Upshur County, West Virginia; born 1845 in Albermarle County, Virginia; died 10 May 1911 in Brake Farm, Upshur County, West Virginia. Isaac buried Oakington Cemetery, Upshur County, West Virginia.

 

7. Rebecca3 Jackson (Edward2, John1) was born 15 September 1795 in Harrison County, West Virginia, and died 18 July 1889. In 1880 she was living with son David J. in Scioto, Pickaway, Ohio, she was 85 and she may have died there. She married George Beaver White 19 December 1811 in Harrison County, West Virginia Bk2:388, son of Alexander White and Mary Beaver. He was born 13 October 1788 in Sussex County, New Jersey, and died 01 October 1858 in Wood County, West Virginia. Both are buried White Family Cemetery, Lowdell/Rockport, Wood County, West Virginia.
