Our picnic at 1 pm to 3 pm was held at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Wood County, West Virginia (about 7 miles from Marietta). After we ate a nice box lunch, we had a Jackson Brigade Business Meeting, a Memorial Service, and a surprise Birthday Party for Nancy Jackson. Nancy was the creator of the Jackson Brigade Corporation in 1992 and has been the key pillar of the organization for many years. Nancy was 84 on August 12th. In her honor, we all ate a piece of birthday cake.
We celebrated Nancy Ann Jackson’s birthday by singing “Happy Birthday” and eating birthday cake.
