Warren Hodges, age 92, died July 10,2006

Warren HODGES, age 92, passed away 7/10/2006 in Seattle Washington. He was born 12/18/1913 in Spencer, West Virginia. He has resided in the Seattle area since the 1930’s. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Hodges; sons, Warren, Norman, Thomas, Peter and Matthew, daughter-in-law Cheryl and granddaughter Kathryn, brother John and sister-in-law Marian Hodges, sister Marjorie Stensrud, sisters-in-law Dorothy Hall-Bauer and Sylvia Thies and brother-in-law Jack Thies, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was a U.W. graduate with a B.A. in political science and history followed by a degree in librarianship. He worked at the University of Washington on the grounds crew and in trucking services for 25 years. While working at the U.W. he was a member of AFSCME local 1488, and at one time president. He was a long time member of the Puget Sound Council of Senior Citizens. A Memorial service will be held at Greenlake United Methodist Church Monday July 17 at 11 a.m. Remembrances may be made to a favorite charity or organization of choice, Swedish Hospice, or to the Greenlake United Methodist Church.
