Another story of the youth of Bill Jackson.

This is a photograph of me (Bill Jackson) with my nephew Glen “Billy” Cowgill and this picture almost never was. My angelic sister Eleanor Ruth Jackson, Billy’s Mom, was almost never born.

My dad in 1915 worked in Pensacola, FL and Eleanor Ruth Jackson was born the first of eight children but not without difficulty. My father was a Christian Scientist and didn’t believe in doctors. My mother had difficulty and my Aunt Ethel told my father if he didn’t call a doctor he would lose his wife and daughter. My dad conceded and later became a Baptist.

My mother had all the rest of her children at home.
