Ingredients: ½ cup shortening, ⅓ cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg (well beaten), ½ teaspoon salt, 1½ cups cake flour, 1 teaspoon soda and ½ teaspoon vanilla.
Instructions: Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugar together. Add egg. Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture. Add vanilla and mix well. Form into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten with fork and bake at 350ºF for 12 minutes.
