For all who want to know more about Jackson ancestors, one very valuable resource is Findagrave.com. There, you can find memorials for many members of the Jackson clan. These memorials typically show the name and location of cemeteries where such people are buried. There may be photos of the cemeteries, tombstones, the people themselves, their relatives, their homes, and so on. Typically, these memorials will include an obituary or other biographical information, along with links to the memorials of parents, siblings and children. Many links like these allow you to follow various family lines back for several generations or even several hundred years.

At the bottom of the memorial may be found the name or alias of the person who created or manages the memorial. If you have additions or corrections for a given memorial those can be submitted to that person to be considered for changes to the memorial. If you are a member of findagrave.com (free) and are a direct descendant of the memorialized person, you can request memorial management be transferred to you. If the current manager is a similar direct descendent, he or she may decline the transfer.

There, you currently can follow the Jackson line back four more generations. This, along with known descendants of Cecelia, gives at least 12 generations of Jackson family. Only half of these are on findagrave.com since, except for rare exceptions, only deceased persons are memorialized on findagrave.com. It is common, however, to find names of living spouses on shared tombstones.
If you have never seen Jackson ancestor memorials on findagrave.com, then exciting discoveries await you. Happy searching for those ancestors!
